Six Sigma Black Belt Training
|
This SigmaPro integrated Six Sigma Black Belt programme delivers state of the art training in the tools of Six Sigma DMAIC and our own proprietary methods.
Delegates receive a thorough exposure to the tools and methods necessary to successfully run Lean Six Sigma DMAIC improvement projects in manufacturing and service environments.
This 16-day training program is delivered in four blocks of four days to allow students to apply learning to a project in their own organisation whilst under the guidance of a highly qualified SigmaPro Master Black Belt.
Training is a mix of lectures, hands-on group and individual exercises to ensure rapid learning and knowledge retention.

What does a Black Belt do?
|
Black Belts lead the technical effort in Six Sigma implementations and contribute their detailed knowledge of tools and methods to the project’s success. They create business improvement opportunities which can be cross functional, or even in partnership with other organisations. Black Belts are responsible for achieving and leveraging results throughout the organisations. They ensure the success is shared and made visible to peers and associates.
Who can become a Black Belt?
|
Black Belts should be outstanding individuals with a track record of success and the potential to quickly develop an understanding of the processes that are to be improved. They should be self-motivated and have the capacity to maximise their potential within an organisation. SigmaPro teaches the methods and tools to influence without authority, manage time and teams effectively and foster the enthusiasm to deliver breakthrough results.
Six Sigma Black Belt certification
|
Upon successful completion of the training you will receive a certificate of training competence. Once you have completed two projects and passed a sort exam.
What are the prerequisites?
|
Ideal Black Belt candidates possess good communication and leadership skills and have the capability to develop effective teams. Black Belts should be results oriented, strive for excellence and have a basic understanding of maths.
What does Lean Six Sigma Mean?

|

What have other Black Belt's achieved? |
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Using Lean Value Stream Mapping and Voice of Customer tools an insurance company reduced the cycle time of application forms from 104 days to 8 days. The resultant savings amounted to £1.5M per annum.
MANUFACTURING
Detailed process and data analysis identified that the real problem for a manufacturing organisation with high warranty costs was located in a call centre rather than in manufacturing. The team of Black and Green Belts achieved savings for the organisation of over £1.2 million.
HEALTHCARE SUPPLY CHAIN
A DMAIC project reduced customer complaints from 18% to 7% and ensured a £1m reduction in outstanding debt could be achieved a in a well-known health care supplier. Then went on to achieve £800k savings due to decreased process costs.
Many of our delegates carry out projects that save their organisations hundreds of thousands of pounds. Others are satisfied with improving aspects of customer service or solving a problem that has remained unsolved for some considerable time. The average black belt project saves the organisation £100,0001.
