Prerequisites

Ideal Black Belt candidates possess good communication and leadership skills and have the capability to develop effective teams. Black Belts should be results oriented, strive for excellence and have a reasonable understanding of maths, as some of the tools include extensive statistical analysis.

Ensure measurement data is valid to pinpoint process weaknesses.

Utilise process modelling and Monticarlo simulation techniques truely optimise a process.

People Selection & Team Management

Employ change management to overcome resistance to change.

Lead and motivate teams using goal deployment strategies.

Advanced Data Analysis

Use graphical methods, hypothesis testing, and correlation / regression to get to the true root causes of defects and variability.

Design of Experiment

Utilise advanced imperical methodologies including Full/Fractional Factorial experiments, Path Of Steepest Assent and Central Composite Designed experiments.

Lean Tools

Eliminate waste and speed up processes to help you save cost.

Introduce Kaizen to ensure your whole organisation is capable of rapid change.

Software

Analyse data easily with just a few mouse clicks using Minitab™ 15.

Effectively utilise leading software tools like SigmaWorks™ & ProcessModel™.

Location, Duration

Our Public Black Belt Courses are held both in Birmingham and in London. All of our courses include full documentation in hard and soft copy (PDF files). Lunch is provided and the course consists of sixteen days full training, spread over four months.

Upon successful completion of the six sigma training, you will receive a certificate of training attendance. If you wish to become formally certified, you can do so by completing two projects, and passing an exam. Details are available on request.
