Resources - Master Black Belt Role

Master Black Belt Role explained

Master Black Belts are 100 per cent dedicated employees and act as in-house experts for consulting and coaching of Six Sigma.

They oversee the Black Belt and Green Belts and are identified and appointed by Champions or Executives and report directly to them. While Black Belts normally execute specific projects, Master Black Belts actively seek for further deployment opportunities across departments and functions. Master Black Belts also ensure the intergrated deployment of existing Six Sigma approaches.

SigmaPro trains and certifies only the finest Master Black Belt candidates. All participants who enroll in the SigmaPro MBB program must meet the following criteria, which may be verified through review of references, resume, educational background and appropriate external certifications or credentials.

  • A certified Black Belt with a high degree of technical proficiency
  • Possess strong leadership skills and project management experience
