Green Belts are normally employees who take up Six Sigma responsibilities along side their other tasks in the company. They work under guidance of a Black Belt or a Master Black Belt who support them in achieving overall results.
Green Belts receive basic training and are normally expected to take up a part-time Six Sigma role within the organisation.
Typical tasks carried out by Green Belts are:
- Responsiblility for small, local projects under Black Belt supervision
- Application of Six Sigma tools, statistical and measurement systems knowledge for their day job.
