Champion Role explained

While Green and Black Belts are normally directly involved with the execution and operation of Six Sigma, Champions overlook the implementation and possible extension of the Six Sigma approach throughout the company. Typical Champions are Middle or Senior Management, who take on the Champion Role besides their normal managerial tasks. Six Sigma Champions act as the interface between the corporate leadership and the operational execution of business improvement strategies. Furthermore, they act as business mentors to Black Belt employees and help to monitor the strategic outline of the Six Sigma methods employed.
