Champions and Executives have an excellent understanding of the managerial and strategic side of Six Sigma, but will not dive deeply into the operations, methods and tools. This is primarily the task of Green, Black and Master Black belts, who then report back to the Champion and Executive levels.

Top level management will be responsible for effective and efficient people management and has to make sure that the right employees are put into the right positions to fully unfold their potential. Therefore the HR component is a substantial part of management training in Six Sigma.
